PRODUCT INNOVATION AND EXCELLENCE AWARD

The product innovation and excellence award is given to the company who has achieved inter-national recognition for a product that substantially improves stormwater quality.

This year’s award is given to Applied Polymer Incorporated. Applied Polymer is a national firm that makes polymers for specific soil and climate conditions. In addition, they train others in the correct application of the polymer. The product of particular importance to the profession and to this award is the unique “floc log”. The log is placed in line with the water flow and the polymer is released at the right rate to activate removal of sediment from the water stream.

Applied Polymer is working with the Stormwater Management Academy to document water quality improvements. Their dedication to finding the right solution for water quality enhancement and erosion control is considered truly worthy of the distinction related to this award.
