The 2018 meeting of the Stormwater Management Academy Board of Directors was held on Wednesday, April 25, 2108 on the UCF campus. Board members were joined by faculty from the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering to hear about their current research focus, and then heard presentations from graduate students regarding their own research work — particularly that which is of interest to the Board members and the agencies they represent. This included a brief update on the upcoming new version of BMP Trains 2020, water quality software used throughout the state by consulting engineers and reviewing agencies.
Water resources industry guest Chris Bogdan, of Environmental Conservation Solutions (ECS), presented an update on the current progress of the production, installation, and use of bio-sorption activated media (BAM) across the nation.
Discussion ensued with board members and faculty regarding potential future research areas. At the conclusion of the meeting board members were presented with certificates of appreciation.
